Quest is SOARING!!! The Dolphins created Hot Air Balloons to SOAR from the ceiling outside our classroom. In anticipation of our Odyssey night, Thursday, February 6th, all classes are creating different items to SOAR all over the school.
Odyssey night is a time to hear how Quest Academy is doing this year and see what is in the works for the future. The night will begin with a walk through the gym to see tables set up from different classrooms. You will get a chance to talk with other teachers and parents. You are then invited to the Second Grade classrooms to talk with the teachers, Mrs. Lau and Mrs. Shah, and to get a feel for the next grade’s classrooms. We wrap up the night in the gym to hear from the Special’s teachers. Please mark your calendars for this fun and informative night. Join us to SOAR!!!
Chinese New Year-2020
The Dolphins learned about Chinese New Year. We read a book and watched an informative video with facts for kids. We learned that Chinese New Year is also called Lunar New Year and Spring Festival. Whatever you call it, the holiday is celebrated by the Chinese people and many other countries in the Chinese communities. They celebrate the new year according to the Chinese calendar that follows the moon and sun. The United States follow the Gregorian calendar which follows the sun. It is recognized in January or February every year. You might see dragon dances, fireworks, and gift exchanges.
